Job Description
IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of clients across public and private sectors. As an Application Developer – Google Cloud Migration, you will play a key role in translating system requirements into custom design and development in an agile environment.
You will be responsible for building, integrating, and deploying innovative solutions that power IBM and its clients globally. You will have access to the latest tools and technologies, along with opportunities for continuous learning and career growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement application cloud migration, modernization, and rationalization solutions.
- Assist in creating and executing migration run books.
- Evaluate source cloud environments (physical, virtual, and cloud) and target workloads.
- Develop and maintain data engineering solutions on the Google Cloud ecosystem.
- Implement cloud migration strategies, including architecture design and orchestration plans.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure smooth migration and deployment of applications.
- Monitor cloud services and troubleshoot issues.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree preferred).
- Technical Expertise: Experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services including Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Workflow/Scheduler, Cloud Run, Dataproc, and Cloud Functions.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Experience in building end-to-end data pipelines in GCP.
- Expertise in Terraform and infrastructure automation.
- Knowledge of logging and monitoring of GCP services.

- Experience in cloud modernization and migration projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team-based environment.
- Exposure to best practices in cloud security and governance.
