Job Overview
IBM is seeking a Hardware Engineer Intern to work on processor design, verification, and validation for IBM Z Systems (Mainframe) and IBM Power Systems. This role offers hands-on experience in cutting-edge technologies, including 5nm, 3nm, and beyond.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Work on Logic Design, Analog Circuits, and Physical Design for IBM processors.
- Perform Pre & Post Silicon Validation, Custom Layout, and Memory Design.
- Develop and optimize EDA tools for processor development.
- Collaborate with global teams on ASIC & SOC design projects.
- Implement verification and testing strategies using programming and scripting languages.
Eligibility Criteria
- Education: Master’s/Doctorate in VLSI Design, Electronics, or Computer Science Engineering.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Digital Logic Design, Computer Architecture, and RISC-V.
- Experience with VLSI design flow and process.
- Understanding of custom circuits, analog, and memory technologies.
- Proficiency in Python/Perl for processor verification and validation.
